BIA/Kelsey announced today it has created an ActiveAccess desktop application for Ingham Regional Medical Center in Lansing, MI to communicate important health information to the local community. Users of the "Ingham Health Bug" will have continuous direct access through their computers to updated information on flu outbreaks, CDC updates, health education events and breaking medical news. The desktop application is offered free to the public and is available for download from the hospital's website and Facebook page.

Deployed through e2Campus, the leading unified emergency notification system for education, ActiveCrawl RSS allows campus officials to send emergency alerts to the computer desktops of all students, faculty and staff via text crawls that scroll along the bottom of the screen.

ActiveAccess announced today that it has designed and launched “ASCE Research Library Now,” a dynamic desktop application, to be used by the Publications Division of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE - http://www.ascelibrary.org/). Users will have access through their computer desktops to a digital library of more than 50,000 full-text papers from ASCE journals and proceedings, in addition to new editions of the Civil Engineering magazine, and streams of ASCE video and podcasts.

ActiveAccess announced today that Northwestern College has implemented a desktop solution for its students and staff called NWC Alert. NWC Alert will serve as a campus-wide desktop security notification system, on the computers of all students, faculty and staff, as well as provide campus news and current events, weather forecasts, and information about NWC and its surrounding area.
