Arizona State University's W.P. Carey School of Business Connects To MBA Students through ActiveAccess Desktop Application
BIA's Desktop Application Breaks through Email and Internet Logjams to Deliver Events and Programs Directly to Students and Alumni
CHANTILLY, VA, December 13, 2007
- BIA Information Network (http://www.activeaccess.com),a leading provider of private-label desktop applications, announced today it has teamed with
Arizona State University?s W. P. Carey School of Business (http://wpcarey.asu.edu)
to launch its ActiveAccess branded desktop application for a new portal website available
to communicate better with all MBA students and alumni. The ActiveAccess program, a
light-weight download that continuously streams onto a PC, is available through the graduate
career management section of the W. P. Carey School of Business website at
http://wpcarey.asu.edu/mba/career/ActiveAccess/Sign_Up.cfm.
The
application has been designed to keep the 1,200 students and many alumni
connected
to and aware of the W. P. Carey School?s upcoming programs, recruitment
events, and
campus announcements. It also provides research tips, targeted messages to
students
who provide a profile of their interests, and real-time weather reports.
"We
are looking at the ActiveAccess application as a convenient one-stop icon that
will
connect students to all of our resources on the career management website,"
Guy Groff,
director of the School?s graduate career management center said. "It
helps us break
through the communication logjam of email and the Internet by conveniently
residing
on the computer desktop, and it truly was the best tool we had come across to
engage
actively with our students and former students."

The PSU Sports Desktop can be downloaded at:

ActiveAccess
desktop applications are small, non-intrusive programs containing no adware,
spyware or spam. They can be installed at work or at home and will not slow down
a
company's
network or use much RAM or hard drive space.
"Creating
an effective way for the W. P. Carey School to actively speak to its students
and
alumni is how ActiveAccess provides benefit, particularly to its university
clients,"
said
Rodger Melchori, director of sales for BIA Information Network.
"When
students have easy access to real-time campus programming information it
translates
to higher attendance at events and an overall greater use of the resources a
school provides."
